祈 -PRAYER-
W247×H277mm / Sumi ink , Japanese paper / 2025

It represents my most important concept, “Inori”. It is written with white ink on white paper.
Usualy, black ink is the most common ink, but this ink is white and different from common ink materials. There is a lot of controversy here. That is, the debate as to whether or not this is realy traditional Japanese ink.
However, Japanese traditional ink craftsmen are involved in this production process, and it is made in accordance with the traditional ink manufacturing method.
What is important is not the material, but the process itself, and the soul of the craftsman.
I sympathize with such feelings and created a work of art using this ink.
It is the “Prayer Series.
White reflects light and changes its appearance in various ways depending on the time, place, and color of the light acting on it at that time. Just like a prayer.
It is invisible, but it does exist.
It may or may not be visible, but there is something important there.
That is what I want to express.

光 -LIRGT-
W230×H270mm / Sumi ink , Japanese paper / 2025

I dyed Japanese paper black and wrote “light” with ink that I mixed through trial and error.
“Light” is often depicted as a bright presence or a symbol, but it appears to shine because it exists in darkness, and the only thing that can be found in darkness is light.
I myself have developed an incurable disease called myalgic myelitis, and I tried to express the “light” I found in such “darkness.”
“Black x Black” can be seen or hidden by changing the angle. I believe that this is the existence of “light.”

福猫- LUCK CAT-
W90×H170mm / Sumi ink , Water-Based varnish , Recycle paper / 2025

The base of this cat is made using a technique caled papier mache.
Hariko is a traditional Japanese craft that refers to a technique used to create shapes using paper.
Paper is usualy pasted onto a mold made of wood or clay, and then colored after drying.
Papier mache is used for a variety of purposes, including lucky charms, toys, and decorations.
This base is one of Japan’s lucky charms and is caled a “Manekineko – beckoning cat” .
The cat is decorated with the word “ – Fuku” .
” is the Japanese word for happiness, and it is said that the person who holds it has a wish that good luck wil come to them.
